About Me
My Background
I am a seasoned psychotherapist with over a decade of clinical experience in working with addiction, co-dependency, trauma and co-occurring mental health condition. My academic background includes a Phd in Pharmacology from the Medical College of Virginia, an MSc in Addiction Psychology from a London University, and a BS in Biology from Drexel University.
I have trained and worked at renowned institutions including The Meadows (Arizona), The Priory Hospital (London), Oxford University Mindfulness Centre, and the Gestalt Centre (London) to name a few. While residing in Europe, I worked in the Addiction Treatment and Trauma Recovery programs at The Priory (London) and in private practice in Europe and the US, since 2017. Addiction is not a moral failing, it is a problematic solution to a problem that one does not have the capacity or skills to manage. Fortunately, capacity and skills can be developed, and we can change our behaviors.
I am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (PA#14792), a member of the National Association for Addiction Professionals (Member# 301741), carry professional indemnity insurance, and engage in continuing professional education. I am accredited to work in the USA, UK and Europe.
